A Look Back at My 2015 New Year Resolutions

A look back on my 2015 new year resolutions

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas but now that 2015 is coming to the end. In January, I posted my new year resolutions for 2015. I think it's time to share how well (or not well) they went. I would also like to take the time and say Thank You for every follow, like and comment. You don't know how grateful I am and how happy it makes me.

Blogging
one. Post twice a week
I didn't really achieve this all year, I've had a couple of months where I posted twice and week and other months where I haven't even posted.

two. continue to enjoy blogging
Although I didn't really complete no. 1, to me this one is more important. I prefer to be happy with every blog post I publish rather than post lots and not be happy with them. Out of the posts I've published, I really enjoyed producing them and I hope you liked them too.
Back in April, I got a new blog design so that make me love my blog again when I fell out of love with it.

Personal
one. Create a skincare routine and stick to it & have more no makeup days
Overall I'm most pleased with this one as this year I've seen a massive difference in my skin, it's still not perfect, but it's getting there. This is the help to creating a very skincare routine and not changing it for a couple of months and also picking up the courage and going to the doctors, they have prescribed me medication for me. The next thing to fix are my scars that have been left - anyone knows any great products?
Each weekend I find myself wearing no makeup with I think has helped to improve my skin massively.

two. Take more pictures
This one was more about using my camera to its full potential. I would say I have defiantly improved my photography from last year as now I always find myself shooting on manual. I hope you can see the improvement in my blog pictures. In the summer, I found myself taking a lot more pictures I think this could be due to the fact that I brought a new lens.

three. Become healthier
The one that everyone has and never normally completes... I wouldn't really say I've become healthier as in I haven't lost/put on lots of weights. My diet has improved this year, it's not perfect I still eat a lot of junk food, but it's defiantly less than last year. One thing that has improved massively this year is my sleep (sounds weird but it has) I have a set time I will wake up and go to bed every day. Due to this, I've seen changes in my energy and mood levels.

Keep a look out for my 2016 new years resolutions.

Did you complete your new year's resolutions?

My Mini MAC Lipstick Collection

I have quite a small collection of MAC lipsticks because as a student spending £15.50 is quite a lot for one lipstick. However I feel like because I have such a small collection I get to use each one, it's not like on of those videos where they have draws full of lipsticks that last half an hour, where all that's going through my head is how can they possibly manage to wear them all. I feel like a have quite a range of shades which is one of the reasons I get to use them all.

Shy Girl
This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought, I remember going to the mac store and being so overwhelmed by all the lipsticks on offer. But before that, I watched so many reviews and collection videos to make sure I spent my birthday money well. Still to this day, I really like this shade as it a "creamy neutral coral beige". It's very much your lips but better shade at one stage I didn't like it because it had an orange/brown tint to it, but I've fallen back in love with it.

Cross Wires
I remember this is a shade that a woman picked out for me in mac - one of the only times there was a really nice woman to help me. For me, this is one of the shades that I never really talked about but it deserves more attention. It a nude but with a bright hint to it and without being too overpowering. It's one of those lipsticks that I really love, but I don't seem to wear it that much.

Ruby Woo
Recently I feel like I've talked about this a lot on there after I did a full review on it here. Every woman needs a classic red lipstick in their collection and for me this is it. I love this one because it's very matte and long lasting. I find it super flattering for my skin tone and very easy to wear throughout the day.

Rebel
I included this lipstick in my 'Top 4 Autumn Lipsticks' and I mentioned that I haven't got much wear out of it, but I feel I might be grabbing for it more now we are in the winter months. It looks extremely scary being bright purple but once it's applied to the lips it's not a scary. I feel it's more wearable because it's a satin so it's quite glossy on the lips I would also say that when on the lips it has a more pinky tone - this could be different for everyone, though.

Creme Cup
Finally Creme Cup, another one of my nude lipsticks but, this time, this one is a more of a pink lipstick instead of coral. I find this lipstick super wearable and it's one of those lipsticks that I will grab quite often. I find because I'm so pale it suits me quite well because you can see the pink in in but in the summer if a have more of a tan (or sunburn) I feel like it can make me look like I'm doing the 'concealer lips'.

What's your favourite MAC lipstick?

It's begging to look a lot like Christmas

I can't believe that there are only 5 days left until Christmas! Recently I've been really getting into the  Christmas spirit around the house, so I decided to take a few random pictures and share them with you. All presents are wrapped a brought the only thing left for me to do is have a Christmas movie day - what films should I watch?

New Phone Case

Recently I've upgraded my phone to this beautiful gold iPhone, and so I figured it was in need of a case to help protect it. I had been on the lookout for a pretty phone case for quite a while so when GoCustomized contacted me I thought it was perfect timing and a great opportunity to create a phone case that I actually like and looks awesome.

GoCustomized is a company that offers personalised phone cases, you can upload your own design or choose from one of their designs. I opted for the Personalised Hard Case Full Wrapped at £19.95 + free shipping. I chose the full wrap one because I like it when the design continues on the side of the phone and not just the back. I went for uploading my own design although you could have picked from one of their designs (I know their marble design is really popular), but I went for navy blue and stripes - if you know me then you will know everything has to be blue or have strips on it, so this seemed like the perfect design to put onto my phone case. The process was really simple and the site was really easy to navigate around. I simply just saved an image off Google Images and then uploaded it to the site. I wanted to add a more personal touch to my case so, I added my name to the bottom of the case, again this was totally customisable with lots of sizes, fonts and colours to choose from.
For under £20 this case is such good quality and I feel I have no fear of it breaking anytime soon. It could make a perfect Christmas gift for a someone this year because it's so customisable - make your own iPhone 6 case for a friend, or for yourself!

What do you think of my case?

Autumn Fashion Inspiration

Autumn Fashion Inspiration
(Images sourced from Pinterest)

A change in seasons and a change in my wardrobe, time to swap the vest tops for jumpers and sandals for boots. For me, autumn fashion is my favourite time of the year with clothes and makeup because it's all about piling on the layers. Since autumn began I've been spending my nights, scrolling through Pinterest pinning all my favourite outfits and everything related to autumn (I may have started to pin Christmas pins). You might be able to tell from the images above that I love thick, cosy scarves, and statement coats - I still managed to find some including some striped tees.

What's your fashion staple piece for autumn?

The Future of Fashion with Alexa Chung Vogue Documentary

The Future of Fashion with Alexa Chung and Vogue

You've probably all been watching this series already, but just in case you weren't I'm here to tell you why you should go and watch it. Vogue has created a six-part documentary with the help of Alexa Chung, to dig deeper into the unknown of the British fashion industry and find the unanswered questions many people asks.

I'm in the process of figuring out what I want to do once I leave school, I found this series extremely interesting as there are so many other jobs in the British fashion industry that no one really talks about and how they all work so well together. It's made me open my eye and see the jobs in this industry and think about how the fashion industry could be a potential option for the future.

The last episode was my favourite, with Paul Smith (he is such an awesome guy), it's also made me love Alexa Chung even more than I did before. The next episode is going to be uploaded on Tuesday - it looks another great one. Watch the whole series here - I highly recommend giving it a watch even if you aren't that into the fashion industry, they are only 10 minutes per episode as well.

Have you seen this series?

Top 4 Autumn Lipsticks

Top 4 Autumn Lipsticks

I'll start off with this nude lipstick I love to wear around this time of the year. I would describe this colour as 'your lips but better' shade, it's got a slight brownish shade to it rather than pink, so I personally it makes it easier to wear. It one of those lipsticks you can wear every day and never have any problem with it.

I classic red lipstick, I feel you can get away with wearing a red lip any time of the year. My favourite is this one from MAC. I have actually done a full review on this lipstick here. I love this one because it says on for quite and long time and is very matte, I find matte lipsticks suit me the best, especially in red.

I feel like this is a very talked about lipstick this time of the year, with so many people loving it and wearing it throughout autumn and winter. Again this is matte (can you notice I have a thing with matte lipsticks?) which helps it be more wearable and long lasting in my opinion. I love the colour as it's not a red nor is it a purple, I would describe it as a dark vampy red.

I bought this lipstick last Christmas but I haven't worn it as much as I would like too hopefully, this autumn and winter I will get to wear it more. It's such a pretty shade - it might look scary here but once you apply it to your lips it's lighter and a lot more purple.

What's your go to Autumn Lipstick?

Happy & Healthy: September

Happy & Healthy September, Misfit Flash Review

My New Fitness Gadget - Misfit

Nutrition
There isn't really much to say about this month. The only thing I would say is that because I've been back at school, I've found myself snacking less on unhealthy foods - I think it's because there is no access the biscuit barrel all day. Also, my meals have been a lot better because I'm in a routine, there has been no breakfast at 11 or skipping lunch. Oh... and should I mention that I've been addicted to Nutella this month - I can't help myself!

Fitness
Again this has improved this month due to me being back in a routine. I have completed the Fitness Blender 5-day challenge to help me get back into working out. I have to say that I actually really enjoyed doing them and it gave me more motivation to workout out, even if my whole body was so sore. Over the past week, I haven't managed to put the trainers on much as I've not been feeling the best, but defiantly going to be putting them back on soon.

The Next 30 days
During October, I'm just going to try and keep a good diet and workout more. It could be challenging as we have Halloween at the end of the month.

My New Favourite
Misfit is a wearable fitness tracker. I bought this after hearing so many reviews on it and really wanted to get my paws on it. It was on offer in Urban Outfitters - even more reasons to buy it. I have the Misfit Flash in Pink, I like the fact that you can wear it anywhere your not just limited to your wrist like many other trackers. On the face of the device, it tells you the time and how much of your daily target you've achieved. You also track this on their app where you can see; miles you've walked, the amount of sleep, calories burnt. I'm thinking of picking up another colour something like black or grey as it will go with more outfits and not look so bright on my wrist.

Autumn Shoe Edit

As of today, we are officially in Autumn. Autumn is actually my favourite season of the year, last year  I actually wrote a post about Autumn and why I love it so much, you can find it here.  I've picked a couple pairs of shoes that I think will be perfect for Autumn. I find autumn slightly weird to dress for as it could be quite hot some days then freezing the next.

What's your favourite pair of shoes for Autumn?

Ways To Use Coconut Oil In Your Beauty Routine

Coconut oil beauty uses

Coconut oil. You've probably heard about this little product before and all the great things it can do and be used for. I know most people use it for cooking as a healthy alternative, let me show you all the great things you can use it for in your everyday beauty routine.

Lip Balm
Works perfect for dry lips, add some brown sugar to exfoliate your lips.

Eye Cream
Apply to under your eyes to help prevent wrinkles, puffiness and bags.

Moisturiser
Apply to your skin instead of your normal moisturiser. For your body and face.

Shaving Cream
Before you shave apply coconut oil to wet skin then just simply shave over it.

Treat Dry Skin
Anywhere you have some dry patches add coconut oil for extra moisture.

Face Mask
Mix in some extra ingredients for the perfect homemade face mask, recipes here.

Body Scrub
Like the lip exfoliator, add in salt or coarse sugar to the coconut oil.

Hair Mask
Apply to wet hair, let it sit, then rinse out.

Eye Makeup Remover
Put some on a cotton pad and then wipe over the eyes.

Hand Cream
Apply to the hands and rub in like a normal hand cream.

What's your favourite thing to use coconut oil for?

York

The other weekend I went for a day trip to York. I took a couple of pictures and thought they were too pretty to not share with you, I didn't take many, but I thought the ones that I did take are worth sharing. I wish I took more as everything there is photogenic. I will definitely be having another trip to York soon.

Have you ever been to York before?

Quick Makeup For Busy People

I find sometimes in the morning you are so rushed and you never have much time to put a full face of makeup on so these are the five products I use in the morning if I don't have much time before going out the house. This is also great to  do if you aren't really allowed to wear much makeup for school or don't like to wear loads of makeup each day.

1. Foundation
I like the use Benefit Big Easy first. I love this foundation for many reasons; it has a liquid to powder formulation so is perfect for normal/oily skin, I find I don't need to powder after because of it's formula. It has an SPF 35 which is quite high compared to other foundations so there is no need to worry about applying an SPF in the morning. It's light and has a light to medium coverage so I find it nice and light on my face throughout the day. You could always add a bit of concealing if you're having a bad skin day.

2. Blush
After the base is complete I like to apply a small amount to the apples of my cheeks to help add a bit of colour to my face and stop me looking like a ghost. This blush from MAC in Breezy is a really nice colour I feel like it's perfect for the autumn. It has a bit of a shimmer to help add the glow to your cheeks but not too much shimmer.

3. Brows
Eyebrows, I think they are such an important feature of the face so we have to make sure we have them perfect in the morning. I like to use Benefit Gimme Brow I like this as it helps define my brows better but also because it's more of a gel formula, not powder it helps stick the hairs in place throughout the day.

4. Mascara
Once the face is complete I will then curl my eyelashes and apply a thin layer of mascara to them. I've currently been using Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara, I love this mascara as it's not too over the top and still makes your eyelashes look really natural.

5. Lip Balm
Finally, I apply a lip balm. I've been using Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch (also love cherry me), I like this shade because it gives a hint of pink to the lips without being too overpowering. Not only that but it helps moisturise your lips and keep them hydrated throughout the day.

What's your go-to product in the morning?

Happy & Healthy: August / Life Tonics

Life Tonics Review

Life Tonics Review

Nutrition
Okay...how can I say this. This month my more plant-based diet has kind of gone out of the window. This month I have kind of gone back to my old habits although the only good thing is that I haven't eaten as much junk food. I'm not really sure what to say as this month hasn't been that exciting. However every week I have been wanting to stuff my face with cakes and bread because the Bake Off is back on and they make so amazing pieces - that lion bread.

Exercise
Again this has been a bit of a fail this month. I have done some but know where near as much as I would like to do, at least it's a start. When I have been working out my favourite has been a Tea Bo workout my favourite is this one from YouTube. It's tough but I find myself enjoying it and pushing myself to get through the whole video. Toward the end of this month, I did a couple of yoga videos, I feel like it could help me relax more in the future. I love Yoga with Adrian especially her videos for beginners.

The Next 30 Days
I'm back to school :( so I think the biggest challenge of next month is to have a routine as I've not got to put school and homework into the picture. I'm going to try my hardest to make a routine and try my very hardest to stick to it. If anyone knows how to juggle blogging, school, homework, social life and fitness any tips would be greatly appreciated.

My Favourite
I've been loving Life Tonics this month. Life Tonics is a brand of drink that helps hydrate with coconut water from 'natural fruit extracts, vitamins and minerals'. There is an isotonic formulation in these drinks so they help absorb more water when working out. Life Tonics is a great drink and perfect to swap to if you love a sports drink after working out as they have high levels of potassium and minerals. They are also perfect if you are out running as they release energy slowly to help improve your stamina. They currently have 3 flavours available: Coconut & Mint, Elderberry & Juniper and Dalandan Orange. My favourite is the coconut & mint, I was quite surprised that I liked this one because I'm not a massive fan of coconut but I find it very refreshing. Each bottle only contains 90 calories! You can buy them for £1.49 at W H Smiths or Waitrose.

How has your August been, what's your favourite thing you've done this month?

*This post contains gifted items from Life Tonics, all opinions are my own.

The Classic Red Lip

Recently I've been taking a step out of my comfort zone and have been choosing to wear a bright, matte, red lip over my nude, pink lip. I've been wanting a lipstick like this for a while, I was unsure whether to get this one or Russian Red. I am so glad that I chose this one because I love it so much.
I always feel that if you have the most simple outfit or makeup it can really complete it. Anyone else feels like with the perfect red lip you can conquer the world and is ready for anyone?

Ruby Woo is extremely matte. I do like it being matt but when it's matt it has its downsides. If you apply it to dry lips it's extremely difficult to get it when you want it to go due to it being matt and stiff. So a tip for when using this lipstick is to use an exfoliator before (love the one from Lush) to help get rid of the dry flaky skin on your lips. I then like to apply a lip balm, I always use this one from The Body Shop. I let the moisture sink into my lips and then I will apply the lipstick, so you get a smoother application. Make sure you don't apply straight onto of the lip balm otherwise the colour won't be shown to its full potential. There are a couple of more reasons why I love this lipstick and one is because it will last on the lips for hours and you hardly need to reapply throughout the day - that's the benefit of it being so matte. Another reason why I really like it that it makes your teeth look whiter and because it suits a lot of skin colours. I hate it when you get a lipstick and it doesn't suit everyone.  The only thing I'm wanting is a lip liner although you don't need a lip liner I would just quite like one to get the perfect shape lip. Does anyone have any recommendations?

What's your favourite colour lipstick?

The Perfect Pamper Night

We all have them stressful days at work or school when we get back home and all we want to do it just relax and forget about everything that has happened. I love a really good pamper night as it's an easy way to just forget everything and have some 'me' time. I feel like I could be doing this routine a lot more as I'm going back to school in only a week and a bit *sad face*.

To start off remove all your makeup and get out of them horrible work/school clothes. Now it's time to relax. Run a lovely, warm bath and pop in your favourite bath bomb (for me it's got to be one of Lush's bath bombs, they have a great range to help you relax). Watch it fizz away, then step in and lie there for a bit relaxing. Maybe try listening to some music, catching up on youtube videos or grab a drink - I always like a cold glass of water). You could also put on your favourite face mask, to help deep cleanse your skin. I love the ones from Lush my favourite is cupcake, sadly you can't eat this cupcake. Now you've been in there for a while it's time to get out and move on to the next steps of your pamper night. Oh but first make sure you remove your face mask.

Now that's complete put on your favourite pyjamas or dressing gown. Grab your favourite snacks; chocolate, popcorn - anything to make you happy. Who cares if it's unhealthy! Turn on the TV to watch your favourite chick flick or catch up on the latest TV episode - mine in Made In Chelsea LA - I don't care. Turn the lights down and light a couple of candles to make sure you're fully relaxed. Let's look at them nails. We can't forget about them in this pamper routine. Grab your favourite nail polish and give them a fresh new look, loving Sugar Apple from Barry M.

If you're not already, it's time to get into your favourite pyjamas and complete your evening skincare routine before we get into bed and have an early night, sleep is the best way to relax and forget everything. Then when we wake up the next morning we will be ready to conquer the world (maybe just the following week at school)!

What's your essential for when you have a pamper night?

The Ugly Shoe?

Birkenstocks. I feel like they are a bit like marmite, you either love or hate them. I wanted to write this post after recently buying a new pair and realising how they are a shoe that has been around for years and manages to make a comeback every summer but yet some people really dislike them and think they are very ugly.

They have been around for many years (1774 in fact - wow I didn't know they had been around for that long). I actually remember having a brown pair when I was younger and always wearing them. I got back into wearing them again after pinning so many images on Pinterest and realising they can actually look really nice if they are worn right. I feel like they are a shoe that can go with anything and can just complete an outfit. I own three pairs and there isn't an outfit that they don't go with. They are one of them shoes where once you get the first couple of uses out the way, they then become the most comfortable pair of shoes ever and you'll end up walking miles but feeling like you are walking in the clouds.

I have picked out a couple of pairs of Birkenstocks. Look how many styles there are; metallic colours, two front straps, a back strap and even a toe cover.

The question is, do you love or hate them?

A Bright Lush Haul

I was super excited when I heard that my local Lush is now stocking the products that use to be only available in the Oxford Street store. I managed to pick up a couple of new products - beware they are very bright and colourful.

Pink Flamingo £4.95
Look, it's a flamingo! There was no way I was walking past this in the shop. When I smelt it up it reminded me of their Christmas range as I think it smells very much like snow fairy. I really like it when bubble bars are on a stick because they are easier to keep and it's better when holding it under the tap. After looking at the ingredients, I feel like it is going to make my skin super soft and moisturised due to some of the ingredients.

This is one of those really big bath bombs where I feel I might use it in a couple of baths because it's so big. I really love the design of this bath bomb with the geometric shape and the colours (underneath is white and orange, with a little purple around the edge btw). I can't wait to use this bath bomb after seeing all the amazing colours it produces once in the water. I find the scent to be unusual, I find that it's sweet but also spicy.

I have the tea tree toner water but I've recently run out and I was recommended by the women in the store to get these tabs instead of another bottle. With these, they are super relaxing as you pop them into some boiling water then put your face over the steam then allow the essential oils to enter your pores. With the rest of the water pour it into the pot then use the water again. It's also perfect if you have oily or spotty skin.

Love the name for this bubble bar. Again one of the reasons I picked this up was because of the bright colours that have been used. The scent of this one is spicy with a hint of citrus. I find that it is always nice to have some savoury bath bombs (does that phrase fit?) because sometimes sweet scents can be too overpowering and sickly.

Have you tried anything from their new range?

Book Haul

How to be Vegan by Elizabeth Castoria
This was the first book I bought when I was researching veganism. When you get to read into it there is so much great information, that I never heard of before. It extremely helpful if you are in the transition of a meat eater to a more vegan lifestyle. I do have the admit the recipes inside aren't really my taste of recipes and it's quite American as nearly all of the recommended restaurants are in the USA.

The Glam Guide by Fleur de Force
Believe it or not, this is actually the first book I have bought that has been written by a YouTuber. I mentioned late last year that I really wanted to read this book this year, and it looks like I have now. There are actually some great pieces in this book, I especially love the section on blogging and fitness. However, I do think that some of the articles are for younger teenagers who are just getting into beauty, fashion etc.

Keep it Vegan by Áine Carlin
This was a rather cheap book considering how good it is, another reason I bought this book. I love so many recipes in this book due to the simplicity of them, I have actually cooked a few and they were very tasty. I will defiantly be continuing to use this book in the future. A highly recommend this book to everyone, even if you aren't a vegan, it's great to add more fruit and veg into your diet.

Deliciously Ella by Ella Woodward
I've been wanting this book for ages now, after always hearing so many brilliant reviews everywhere. I've flicked through and there are some amazing dishes, but I have to admit that I haven't actually cooked any yet (I don't really know why). One day I really want to try the sweet potato brownies. I will defiantly be buying her new book which is released early next year.

Get the Glow by Madeleine Shaw
Recommended by Millie Mackintosh. There are loads of great recipes that I've tabbed, however, this book isn't really vegan (as she uses meat, eggs, dairy etc). Another great feature in this book is the '6-week program to get the glow'. Recently she has brought out a smoothie range. I was super excited when Madeline said she was releasing this book due to loving her YouTube channel and blog. In all the pictures, Madeline looks great and so does the food.

Happy & Healthy: July

Happy & Healthy July 2015
[I found these on Pinterest and thought how true they were]

The start of something new

I've decided that each month I'm going to publish a type of post like this where I talk about the past month but everything to do with health and fitness. I've been on a bit of a health kick recently so hopefully by writing one of these each month it will help keep me motivated and it's a great way to share my thoughts and feelings.

The Biggest Challenge
This month I've had a bit of a challenge because it is the fist month and I still want that whole chocolate cake that is sitting on the side. This month as well I made the transition to having a more vegan lifestyle, currently, I would say I'm 80% vegan. Later if you're interested I might do a post dedicated to me changing to a vegan style diet. At home to stop myself piling the crisps and busiest into my mouth is to; one, have the fridge full of healthy fruit you are able to snack on, two, hide all the rubbish foods or remove them from your kitchen. Overall I feel pretty proud with my diet this month.

The Favourite
This month I've brought a couple of new books and all food related, that sums me up really. 3 that I've been especially loving is Deliciously Ella by Ella Woodward, Get the Glow by Madeline Shaw and Keep it Vegan by Áine Carlin. All of these books have some amazing recipes that are so simple and the ingredients are easy and cheap to get to, I don't need to travel to the other side of the world just for a type of nut.

The Motivator
I have been loving Jess Wreford's YouTube channel lately, especially her weekly updates on her health and fitness journey. I feel like I'm going through the exact same feelings as her, I just love the way she is so honest and shares her real emotions of how she is feeling when going through the journey to becoming more healthier and happier.

The Next 30 Days
I'm going to try to and include more movement (fitness) into my everyday routine because I feel like I kind of go the nutrition side sorted. Let's be realistic, I'm not going to set myself a target to go to the gym every day or run 10miles. I'm going to start small, whether it's walking the dog or do a workout video on YouTube. All I'm going to say is as long as I move for more than 30 minutes each day.

I've recently become obsessed with Washi Tape. You name it and I would have wrapped some pretty washi tape around it. The washi tape that is featured here is from Ikea and Prairie Charms. I think it is such a lovely way to improve the appearance of something; another benefit is that it doesn't cost much.

Here are 10 easy things to do with washi tape:
01 Decorate your phone lead
It will never go missing again...actually it might because it so pretty

02 Colour code your diary
Write over washi tape, with each colour having a different category, never again will you forget that doctors appointment.

03 Decorate tea lights
Wrap around the tea light to make them look even more pretty once lit.

04 Up-cycle your phone case
Apply to a phone case for your own unique phone case, that everyone will be jealous of.

05 Make pretty pencils
Wrap around a plain, boring pencil.

06 Wrap presents
Replace the ribbon on the present with better-looking washi tape

07 Frame pictures
No need to buy a frame, simply make one with washi tape around the edge of the picture.

08 Label pots
Organise everything by labelling up.

09 Jam up your jam jars
Wrap around jam jars to make them look nothing like jam jars, perfect to hold flowers/makeup brushes.

10 New nail polish
Like nail wraps just use the wash tape to stick over your nails.

Dry Shampoo Reviews

Dry shampoo review Batiste eden COLAB paris Herbal Essence

My hair: I have quite thin, flat hair that gets greasy very quickly, my hair will be greasy a day after washing it. I will wash my hair every other day, so I tend to use dry shampoo on a regular base.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Eden // £3.29
I've been using Batiste dry shampoo for as long as I can remember and I would say it is the most popular dry shampoo brands. However, I have a love-hate relationship with them. Some of their products are so good and others are diabolical, it's like they have good and bad batches; I always seem to buy from the bad batch. This time I picked up 'Eden' it is a new one that they've just released.  I really like the scent of this one it is a very sweet, pretty fragrance, you most probably expected that from the bottle design. I find that the scent is long-lasting and make your hair smell amazing all day, without a touch-up. The consistency is what I expect from a dry shampoo, it's not too heavy or too light, compared to the others, I would class it as the most normal. However, I find the biggest problem with Batiste is the white residue it leaves on the hair, especially with me having brown hair it looks like I'm going grey very early or I have bad dandruff. Not what I want. Normally you can rub it out but I find they're white reside extremely hard to hide.

Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo in Citrus // £2.99
Herbal Essence is relatively new to the dry shampoo market. To be honest, they have brought a pretty good product to the market. This is the cheapest out of all of them at just under £3. I picked up the citrus scent, the scent isn't very strong and you only have a slight smell of the scent when it's in your hair. I love this dry shampoo because not only does it hide your greasy hair it will also add volume to your hair. Compared to the others the formula is rather thick and heavy; you defiantly know that you have dry shampoo in your hair, I don't quite agree with the '1st-day clean feel' because it leaves your hair so thick and voluminous. I don't really mind though because you don't need to spray as much compared to the others, I find a small spray can go a long way. Sometimes I get white residue but it's very easy to rub out.

COLAB Dry Shampoo in Paris // £3.49
The creator of COLAB is a fellow YouTuber and Blogger (most of you will know already), Ruth Crilly. Ruth has done an excellent job creating these, the bottle contains everything you could ever want in a dry shampoo. Firstly I have to say they have the best design out of all of them. I picked up 'Paris', which is a floral fragrance consisting of rose and jasmine. COLAB seems to have the strongest smell once sprayed on the hair - which isn't a bad thing.  I want to use it as a perfume! Out of all the time I've been using COLAB, I have never experienced any grey hair moments - which is great. However, I feel that the only negative of COLAB dry shampoo is that you have to use a lot of it to cover the greasy patches because the formula is so light, so you tend to get through a bottle quite quick. The other side to that is that your hair isn't weighed down and you don't feel that you have any product in your hair.
